SMX Sydney 2008 - Keynote with Marisa Mayer of Google

I have to talk about the location of this keynote, it is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. Imagine a room where the keynote stage looks like the picture below (left) and the background of Sydney harbor with the Sydney Opera house (below right):

When Marisa was asked about how to retain people and about the executives who left, she jumped around the question and then said, what was the question? (that was a bit funny, guess jet lag was catching up to her) then she started talking about science and media. wow, is there no answer? And then she touched on passion, and then she started talking about how teams should be structured. hum?

When asked about the Microsoft Yahoo!! acquisition, Marisa said the acquisition is bad for search because it takes the competition away and that's that.

I couldn't stay for the whole keynote because I have to prep for my sessions later today and tomorrow.
